Austin Pride Parade, Festival 2019: Street Closures List
Numerous partial and full street closures are scheduled on Saturday as Pride Week culminates with festival and parade.

AUSTIN, TX — Pride Week 2019 will culminate this Saturday, but not before street closures affecting motorists to accommodate a festival and parade.
Austin police on Friday released a list of numerous partial and full road closures. The list yields a helpful primer for motorists with an advance notice of streets to be closed on Aug. 10. Drivers using these streets to reach their destinations might want to plot out alternate routes for Saturday as a result.
Streets slated for closure are:

- San Jacinto Blvd from E. 15th to E. 11th | 1 p.m. to midnight.
- E. 11th from Trinity to Lavaca will be closed | 5 p.m. to midnight.
- 11th at Brazos will be open Eastbound 5:00pm to midnight.
- Congress Ave from 11th to 3rd will be closed | 5 p.m. to midnight.
- 5th St and 6th St will be open East and West until 7:00pm then closed to midnight.
- 4th St will be closed from Congress to San Antonio with intermittent traffic allowed at the cross streets until 7 p.m.
- Lane reductions on Guadalupe from W. 9th to W. 4th | 5 p.m. to midnight.
Police offered possible alternative routes for traffic:
- North/South: Brazos, San Jacinto, Lavaca and Guadalupe.
- East/West: 15th Street and W. Cesar Chavez.

"If you are attending, we want you to have fun!" police wrote in a press advisory. "We also ask that you stay aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity. If riding a scooter, please obey all traffic laws. Watch for cars, avoid cell phone use while riding, and drive friendly, especially when sharing the sidewalk with pedestrians."
