This year's run will be virtual, with runners and walkers able to choose their routes and proceeds raised benefitting Marathon Kids.
NORTH AUSTIN, TX—Austin Runners Club will host its 43rd Annual ARC Daisy 5K where you'll be able to run or walk your race, using any route you choose. This year's run will be virtual and proceeds of the Daisy 5K will benefit Marathon Kids.
The event kicks off Tuesday, Oct. 9 through Sunday, Oct. 18, and participants will have the chance to take part in the Daisy, 5K, Daisy 10K, Family Mural Mile, or the Daisy Challenge. Runners also have the choice of joining a social team or compete in the cross county style Team Challenge. Social teams can be made up of any participants across all events (10K, 5K, Family Mural Mile). Competitive teams are made up of 5-7 runners who are all doing the 5K. See full rules here.
The mission of Marathon Kids is to introduce children to running at a young age, when they're more likely to develop positive associations with physical activity. To learn more about ARC, Marathon Kids, or the 43rd Annual ARC Daisy 5K, click HERE.
