NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Police identified two bicyclists killed after colliding with cars in the northern and southern portions of the city last Wednesday, police said on Monday.

On the opposite side of the city at around the same day and time, according to a police advisory, another bicyclist was riding eastbound in the center lane of traffic along the 5500 block of East Ben White Boulevard service road. Due to poor lighting exacerbated by a lack of tail lights and rear reflectors on the bicycle, a 2013 Nissan Rogue rear-ended it, police said.

The bicyclist, identified as Elias Jurado, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police noted the driver of the Nissan remained at the scene, and no charges are expected to be filed.
