Birthday Run Invites Pflugerville Residents To Complete 5.5 Miles
The pfun run hosted by Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Commission is an opportunity to celebrate the City's 55th birthday in 2020.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX—The Parks and Recreation Commission invite the community to take part in a 5.5 Mile Pflugerville Birthday Run to celebrate Pflugerville's 55th birthday in 2020. The event is open to all, and participants are welcome to run or walk to take part in the fun.
The challenge will run through Thursday, Dec. 31 at 12 p.m. and participants can complete the challenge anywhere, including Pflugerville's over 40 miles of trails. (Download a trail map at pflugervilletx.gov/trails). Take pictures along the way to track your run, use MapMyRun, Apple Workout or any other form of distance traveled records. Participants need not complete the 5.5 miles in one run/walk, so long as the entire distance is completed between now and Dec. 31 at noon.
Once you've completed your 5.5 mile run or walk, send in proof to Parks and Recreation Commission Member Raul Capetillo at txgato@icloud.com. You’ll receive a race sticker and $5 off code for the 2021 Deutschen Pfest 5K (registration opens in January). For more information, click HERE.
