CARTS Offers Free Rides To Election Day Polling Sites
Voters will have the opportunity to enjoy free rides to and from the polls through the Capital Area Rural Transportation System.
NORTH AUSTIN, TX—The Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) along with several Texas transit providers, taxis and ride share services offer free rides to and from Election Day polls throughout early voting and on Election Day. CARTS provides transportation for the non-urbanized areas of Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Travis and Williamson counties.
Free rides for voters going to the polls will be offered through Friday, Oct. 30 and on Election Day, Nov. 3. Those living in the CARTS rural service area may schedule a Country Bus ride in advance by calling 1-512-478-RIDE (7433) and indicating the need to travel to a polling location.
