Carver Museum At Home Offers Digital Programming

The community is invited to keep engaged and learning with programming made available through the Carver Museum.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — As communities continue to grapple with the coronavirus pandemic, the need to keep connected and engaged has never been more important. The Carver Museum is making programming available to view from home with updates to latest programs made available on Facebook, follow us on Instagram, and by subscribing to the Carver Museum newsletter. Digital Kickback

Digital Kickback is a music series showcasing Black Austin-based DJs, musicians, and audiophiles to help you shake off the work week. Every Friday from 5:30-6:30pm, the Carver will go Live on Instagram with a musician to set the soundtrack for your weekend. Make sure you’re following on Instagram and have notifications turned on so you don’t miss a beat!

Small Black Museum: a podcast

Featuring stories from Black Austinites and contemporary shakers and makers, Small Black Museum is a podcast hosted by CarverMuseumATX. Our first episode, “Legacy, Legacy, Legacy!” features Stephanie Lang, Program Administrator for the Center for Community Engagement at the University of Texas at Austin. You can listen to it on Soundcloud. The podcast's next segment of Small Black Museum features husband and wife hip-hop duo Riders Against the Storm. We’ll be dropping it in late May.
