Compassionate Connection Explores Ways To Improve Communication

Parents, educators and caregivers are invited to the webinar series and explore ways to effectively communicate with youth amid COVID-19.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX —Parents, caregivers and youth workers from all professions are invited to a 5-week webinar series beginning Friday, May 29 on ways to remain compassionate and connected with your child during these challenging times. Compassionate Connection with Youth will explore relationship-building with young people in your lives the a lens of creative practices and non-violent communication.

The virtual series will teach ways to develop the skills needed to communicate with youth in more meaningful ways and express a deeper language for improved understanding. Co-hosted by Carrie Ann Paulo and Renee Weintraub-Kalandar, Paulo holds BFA, MAE, and is an Austin, TX Educator, licensed school administrator, Registered Yoga Teacher, Fine Arts and Special Education advocate with 25+years experience with special populations who believes in the power of story.

Weintraub-Kalandar is an OTL, CYT from Philadelphia, PA. with over 30 years experience working with Youth and their families in the social emotional realm. Teacher of NVC (Nonviolent Communication), and believer in everyone’s need to be seen and heard, Weintraub-Kalandar will share her expertise to help individuals improve their communication abilities.
