Diesel Fuel Spill Slows MoPac Traffic: Austin Fire Department

AUSTIN, TX — Emergency crews were cleaning up a big diesel fuel spill on MoPac on Monday afternoon that has slowed traffic.

The incident occurred along MoPac (Texas 1 Loop) along the northbound ramp from Loop 360, fire officials said. Fire officials were at the scene working alongside Texas Department of Transportation crews, according to an Austin Fire Department tweet sent just before 2:30 p.m.

Officials advise that traffic will be slow in the area as they work to clear the scene, so drivers normally driving in the area might want to seek alternative routes in reaching their destinations.
