Drive Through Event Celebrates Readathoner Achievements

The Carver Branch Library will host a family-friendly drive through event recognizing participants of the Readathon and distribute prizes.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX—Readathoners, it's time for your moment of recognition! Austin-area readathoners, Badgerdog Campers, families, librarians, teachers, sponsors, and Board members are invited to a family drive-through celebration now that the Readathon has come to a close.

The family-friendly event kicks off at the Carver Branch Public Library parking lot located at 1161 Angelina St., Austin, TX 78702 on Saturday, March 27 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. You'll be guided through stations by staff and volunteers to receive prizes and gifts. Participants will receive free books, surprise toy bags, gift certificates, and Whataburger treats and t-shirts for all Readathon readers! Badgerdog campers are also invited to join the fun. The drive-through event will feature a 2020 camp anthology and special information about the 2021 summer camps.

COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place including mask wearing for all in attendance, on-site hand sanitizers, and all families will be asked to remain in their vehicles at all times. Prizes, books and treat are to be distributed on a first-come, first serve basis, and participants are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot in line.
