- The Hope House, a nonprofit in North Austin, "is making a difference for children and adults that need 24/7 care." Led by Rosemarie "Rose" McGarrigle who passed away in 2003, the nonprofit is "a community of forever homes for the 'most profoundly, intellectually disabled of all ages" and "some of the children she took in the 1960s still live at in the Hope House community." David Gould, executive director, began working at summer camps for Down syndrome children when he was in 7th grade. He said, "It is hard work... these children and adults need around-the-clock care. Our job with them is to help them develop over time have some form of communication to express their wants and needs." - Tricentis, a company that provides automated software testing services, recently "signed a 42,019-square-foot office lease at Uplands Corporate Center in North Austin. The tenant represented by Russel Young "plans to hire about 100 new employees, in the lease negotiations," in which the landlord, Drawbridge Realty, is represented by Kevin Granger and Matt Frizzell of Cushman & Wakefield. - On Friday, March 25, the McCallum Knights beat the Pflugerville Panthers during the second half of the game "at the Class 5A Bi-District girls soccer playoff" held at House Park Stadium.
