Keep Austin Beautiful Hosts Community Engagement Day
Volunteers are needed for a morning of service at Quail Creek Park to help pick up litter that could pollute the creek and Colorado River.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX —Keep Austin Beautiful, inspiring and educating Austinites to volunteer together, beautify green spaces, clean waterways, and reduce waste every day, invite Austin residents to its Community Engagement Day at Quail Creek Park. Empowering people to care for the environment by providing community resources, education, and volunteer opportunities, Community Engagement Days are held throughout the year and various locations throughout the city.
The Quail Creek Park event is an opportunity for volunteers to come together and help provide a morning of service for the popular park in North Austin. Trash accumulates quickly along the trail and areas nearby to the creek, and volunteers are needed to help pick up trash along the greenbelt. These endeavors help prevent litter from entering Quail Creek and the Colorado River.
Volunteers will be provided with tools, gloves, snacks, and water, but participants are asked to bring a water bottle. The work will be performed outside on uneven terrain, so come ready with sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, and clothes you may not mind getting wet or dirty.
