Lake Pflugerville Trail Set To Reopen

The trail is slated to be reopened at noon on Aug. 10, but all other park amenities will remain closed amid coronavirus concerns.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — In a bit of pfantastic news, city officials on Friday said the trail at Lake Pflugerville will reopen this coming Monday.

The trail is slated to be reopened at noon on Aug. 10, according to an emailed advisory. All other park amenities — including the north parking lot, fishing piers, boat ramp, open space, playground area, pavilion, beach and lake access — will remain closed, officials added.

The reopening notwithstanding, visitors still are urged to practice safeguard meant to help blunt spread of the coronavirus: "Preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our community is essential as the trail reopens," city officials said. "The City of Pflugerville is asking all trail users to practice social distancing and properly dispose of all trash. Keeping the trail beautiful also helps keep our community safe."
