Make & Take Baking Event Lets Youth Explore Culinary Skills

NORTH AUSTIN, TX—Enjoy an evening of hands-on baking and a great bonding event for kids and parents to experience as part of the Make & Take: Decorate Cupcakes with Fall Flowers event. Participants will learn to fill and use decorating bags and create fall designs from buttercream icing using a variety of piping tips.

Open to kids 13 years & up (children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult), the event is scheduled Sunday, Oct. 17 from 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Central Market Cooking School North Lamar located at 4001 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX 78756.

The cupcakes and icings tinted in the rich hues of fall will be ready and waiting so you can concentrate on creating designs and decorations. After our instructors introduce you to the techniques, you can let your imagination be your guide. At the end of the class, you’ll have improved your decorating skills and will take six of your cupcake creations home to enjoy
