North Austin Residents Invited To Help Sort And Stock Food Pantry

TUMC Austin and Hope Food Pantry will host a Sort and Stock event to help organize shelves ahead of food distribution in the community.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX—As families throughout Austin and surrounding communities continue to struggle amid the pandemic, TUMC Austin and its partner Hope Food Pantry continue to assist families experiencing food insecurity with socially distanced food distribution. Individuals are invited to help sort and stock the shelves of Hope Food Pantry by organizing the food donations delivered during the week to prepare for the twice weekly food distribution days.

Scheduled on Tuesday, Jan. 12 from 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m., TUMC will welcome a team of 4-5 persons to assist in sorting and stocking the shelves of Hope Food Pantry ahead of the twice weekly food distribution days. Participants will practice appropriate social distancing, and masks will be required while working in the Pantry. Registration begins Jan. 5, and for more information click HERE.
