Austin Tech Alliance Plans Online Talk On Mobility Issues

Lunchtime Lightning Talks will feature speakers discussing how Austin residents get around via a variety of transportation modes.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Austin Tech Alliance, a nonpartisan nonprofit building a culture of civic engagement in Austin’s tech sector, will host a lunchtime lighting talk to learn about different mobility and accessibility options in Austin.

The insightful discussion will center on how residents get around in Austin, and will welcome three speakers to offer information on biking, walking, The Americans with Disabilities Act and more.

The online event will take place Tuesday, July 7, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature speakers Martin Kareithi, program manager of Accessible Services at Capital Metro; Tom Wald, executive director of the Red Line Parkway Initiative (RLPI); and Heyden Walker of Reconnect Austin.
