Online Series For Educators Offers Guidance On Students Wellness
Cultivating Calm is a weekly series of online gatherings for administrators and educator to support emotional wellness during COVID-19.
NORTH AUSTIN, TX —Educators and administrator are invited to a virtual event to help support one another and focus on topics centered on the emotional health and wellness of students and educators during this trying time of coronavirus, or COVID-19. Hallways, the school-based prevention program of Freedom Institute that partners with school communities to provide comprehensive social emotional wellness and prevention programming for administrators, faculty, parents and students, will offer these weekly small virtual gatherings beginning Wednesday, April 1.
Cultivating Calm: A Series of Online Educator Gatherings with Hallways is series of weekly online gatherings designed to offer support for educators during these especially difficult moments. As the future continues to evolve, a virtual team was organized to offer a series of topics that are relevant and important to navigate during this health crisis. Every Thursday at 1 p.m., Hallways will host a small online gathering for educators and school administrators to share, reflect and learn tools and strategies for educating and supporting young people during a pandemic.

- Week 1: Promoting Social Emotional Health While Teaching Remotely
- Week 2: Growing Our Circles of Concern
- Week 3: Socially Distant, Emotionally Connected
The gatherings will also be accompanied by weekly emails with resources for the topic covered that week. Educators of all subjects and grade levels can sign-up for each gathering they are interested in attending through this Eventbrite. All participants will receive a link to join via email prior to each session. This virtual series is FREE and will occur every Thursday with registration on Wednesday, April 1 at p.m. through Wednesday, April 22 at 2 p.m. For more click HERE.
