Path To Equity: The Aftershow Offers Insight On Racial Inequity

Central Texas Collective for Racial Equity hosts a 6-week virtual series with discussions followed by a Facebook Live broadcast and Q&A.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX—Central Texas Collective for Racial Equity (CTCRE) will host Path to Equity: The Aftershow as a Facebook Live broadcast following virtual discussions from Central Texas regional thought-leaders. The Path to Equity series offers small roundtable conversation followed by a live Q&A, where thought leaders share their personal reactions, insights and perspectives.

The Path to Racial Equity series, in collaboration with LBJ Foundation, Sanders/Wingo and other community partners, is a 6-week virtual roundtable examining issues surrounding racial inequity in Austin. The series presents practical steps to be part of the solution, and joins other organizations including the Austin, Asian, Black, Hispanic, and LGBT chambers of commerce, NAACP Austin Chapter, Austin Area Urban League, Austin Justice Coalition, Creative Austin, and Leadership Austin to organize and showcase the event starting on January 14.

Topics will focus on the political influence, economic justice, historical context of racial justice, advocacy, organizational inclusion, and education. CTCRE will broadcast Path to Racial Equity: The Aftershow, a follow up series open to the public exploring the experiences from thought-leaders' reactions, insights and perspectives on each of the weekly topics.
