🌱 PCDC And MoboTrex Agreement + Flock Safety Cameras To Be Installed

Here are the top stories today in North Austin-Pflugerville:

1. This week, "Pflugerville City Council approved an economic development performance agreement... between the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation Board of Directors and MoboTrex, Inc... that offers a relocation grant of up to $150,000 based on MoboTrex investing $13 million, expanding into a 130,000-square-foot facility, and relocating or employing a total of 110 full-time jobs within five years." Presently MoboTrex is located at 301 West Howard Lane in Austin but will be relocating to 15825 Impact Way in the One Thirty Business Park, at the Pecan and SH130 intersection in Pflugerville. Staci Lange, MoboTrex chief operating officer, said, “We look forward to working with PCDC and the Pflugerville community to attract and retain quality employees who will contribute to our long-term success and that of the community.” For more information visit: (newsradioklbj.com)

3. On Wednesday, April 27, Austin Travis County EMS reported a crash that occurred "just before 8 p.m. in the 1100 block of Pearl Retreat Lane near Lucida Lane" in north Austin. As a result, one person was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital, but "no other details were released." Read the full story at: (KXAN.com)
4. Soon the Pflugerville Police Department will be installing Flock safety cameras with license plate readers "in high traffic areas and large retail areas" near the Stone Hill Town Center. Angela Honey, who "was involved in a road rage incident at the edge of Pflugerville," said that "having a camera... would have helped," as unfortunately she didn't get a license plate number and there were no cameras around to capture the incident, but she is now looking forward to the new Flock safety cameras in town.
