NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in North Austin late Friday, medics confirmed.
The incident occurred along the southbound Interstate 35 service road near Braker Lane just before 11 p.m., according to Austin-Travis County EMS. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, medics wrote on Twitter.
KVUE reports the driver had alcohol in his system at the time of the collision, and was subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
