Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Northeast Austin

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in the northeast portion of the city Tuesday, medics confirmed.
The incident occurred near the intersection of a northbound frontage road at Interstate 35 an FM 1825, according to an Austin-Travis County EMS tweet just before 9:40 p.m. According to the emergency agency, the adult victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision prompted traffic delays in the area, medics alerted. No further details were disclosed, including the age and gender of the victim as is customary for medics to reveal.

The first tweet from medics issued just after 9:35 p.m. reported life-saving measures were being implemented in the hopes of resuscitating the crash victim:

A mere five minutes later, medics reported the pedestrian had succumbed to injuries.
