Pedestrian Fatally Struck In North Austin

AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in North Austin early Saturday.
The collision occurred along the 9200 block of Burnet Road north of U.S. 183 just before 2 a.m., Austin-Travis County EMS medics reported via Twitter. Despite life-saving measures, the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Medics did not reveal the approximate age or gender of the pedestrian as is their custom, revealing only that the deceased person was of adult age.
