Pflugerville City Council, Bonds Election Votes Tallied

Rudy Metayer, Ceasar Ruiz and David Rogers gained voters' approval for city council while $201.2M in bond packages also gained passage.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Preliminary results from votes cast Tuesday in both Travis and Williamson counties are now available, showing the outcome of city council races along with a trio of bond referendums totaling more than $200 million that gained passage.

In the city council race, preliminary results show Ceasar Ruiz receiving 13,995 votes for Place 2, compared to 9,579 ballots for Victor To. In Place 4, Rudy Metayer garnered 15,774 votes versus 7,678 for Bob Reichenbach. In the race for Place 6, David Rogers got 11,890 votes compared to 11,001 for Jim McDonald.

Voters also weighed in on a trio of bond referendums calling for issuance of $201.2 million in municipal debt as financing for various transporation projects, parks/recreation initiatives and a new senior center. The details:

  • Proposition A, which includes $101.7 million in transportation projects, was approved by 68.2 percent of voters.
  • Proposition B, which includes $42.3 million in parks and recreation projects, was approved by 65.9 of voters.
  • The final bond considered, Proposition C, provides $47.3 million for a new senior and recreation center and received 57.2 percent of the vote.
