Pflugerville Invites Residents To Run/Walk Virtual Marathon
Participants are invited to complete the virtual challenge ahead of May 4 for an opportunity to win a prize.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX —If you're looking for a great way to keep active and engaged within your Pflugerville community, the city invites its residents to take part in a virtual marathon before May 4 for an opportunity to win a prize. Emphasizing the need to adhere to social distancing and following guidelines to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, runners may run at any of the over 40 miles of trail system in the community.
A reminder that facilities in city parks are closed, as are trails at Lake Pflugerville (for a full list of closures, visit pflugervilletx.gov/virus). Exercising safely in areas that are not crowded including at home is an opportunity to challenge yourself physically and complete your fitness goals. To participate:
- Create an account on Fitrankings.com (they have an app, but you have to join our group through the website). This account will link to your fitness tracker of choice.
- Once your device is paired, go to "Join or Create a Club."
- Search for 26.2 Mile Virtual Pfitness Challenge and join our group.
- Make sure to sync your device either via the website or the app once a day to input your progress.
