Pflugerville Library Hosts Activities For Seniors Through October

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The Pflugerville Library invites area seniors to enjoy activities to enjoy from the comfort of home throughout the months of September and October. Seniors ages 55 and over are able to register for the online instruction of the various scheduled activities and pick up their materials curbside at the library. Senior Watercolor Hour: Mushroom: Friday, Sept. 25 from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m. Enjoy a craft at home! Learn to paint a mushroom in watercolor. All materials will be provided. Register to receive a kit of supplies, then watch the video on YouTube on September 25 for instructions (or any other time after that at your convenience). For those 55 and up. Registration open online .Please note: One kit per registrant. Kits will be available for pickup for registrants between September 18-25 during curbside pickup hours. Call 512-990-6381 when you arrive and are ready to pick up. Staff will bring your bag out to you. Please visit the library's Youtube page for the instructional video on September 25. Adult Craft Night: Botanical Leaf Embroidery: Thursday, Oct. 8 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Learn basic embroidery with Lark Rising Embroidery via our Creativebug crafting database. Registration is required. 18 and up only. (Registrants will need a library card to access . If you don't have a card, please call the library at (512) 990-6375 or email library@pflugervilletx.gov to get signed up before you register for this class.) Please note:

• Register for the class from September 30 to October 7 to get on the list for a kit of supplies.
• Kits must be picked up between October 8 and October 15.
• Kits not picked up by October 15 will go to those on the waiting list.
• Tutorial available any time for members at Creativebug.

Register beginning September 24 to receive a kit of supplies, then watch the video on YouTube on October 9 for instructions. For those 55 and up. Please note:

Paint Night: Acrylic Llama Painting: Thursday, Oct. 15 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Use acrylics to paint a llama! The library will provide all materials for registrants. Instructions are generously provided by Tracie Kiernan of stepbysteppainting.net. Registration is required. 18 and up only. Please note:

• Register for the class from October 7 and October 14 to get on the list for a kit of supplies.
• Kits must be picked up between October 15 and October 22.
• Complete the tutorial at your convenience. Instructions are online.
• Kits not picked up by October 22 will go to those on the waiting list.
