Pflugerville Officers Honored For Work On Sexual Assault Case
Hope Alliance presented Sgt. Michael De La Rosa and Detective Janie Campana with its 'Officer of the Year' Award.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Hope Alliance on Tuesday presented two Pflugerville police officers its "Officer of the Year" award for their work on a case involving the sexual assault of a minor.
Sgt. Michael De La Rosa and Detective Janie Campana were bestowed with the honor. Hope Alliance noted the two were honored for their "relentless pursuit for justice in the case of the sexual assault of a minor."
Hope Alliance hosts an annual awards ceremony to recognize local law enforcement partners who work to assist survivors of family and sexual violence in the community, officials explained. While the in-person awards ceremony this year was canceled, a remote event designed to ensure social distancing took place outside the Pflugerville Justice Center to recognize the exceptional work of these officers, officials added
