Pflugerville Parks & Rec Department Offers Virtual Tai Chi
The Friday weekly class live-streamed on Facebook offers a morning of mediation and gentle exercises to promote well-being for all ages.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX —The Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Department will offer a live-stream virtual Tai Chi class each Friday at 10 a.m. via Facebook Live. The free virtual event offers a great opportunity for the community to stay active and connected amid COVID-19 and social distancing and stay-at-home efforts to mitigate the spread of disease.
The fun class offers 24 movements of the Yang-Style "simplified" form with Tai Chi instructor, Larry. The class is a meditation with gentle revitalizing exercise movements that work to increase energy, reduce stress, improve sleep, reduce pain, promote feelings of well-being, and offer the benefits of strength, conditioning, coordination, flexibility and balance exercises.
Participants from home are encouraged to wear loose-fitting clothes, socks or shoes that won't stick to the floor, and do the activity in a space with room to stretch. To learn more, click HERE.
