Pflugerville Parks And Rec Offers Camps For Kids Through Holidays

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The holidays are a great time for kids, from the excitement of Santa's visit to extended opportunities for playing and fun. During winter break, however, unstructured time may lead to a lack of activities to help keep little ones entertained. More importantly, psychologists suggest that clear structure and expectations provide limits and boundaries for children, and offer long-term benefits in their development.

To help families navigate finding the right activities and events this busy holiday season, the Pflugerville Parks & Recreation Department hosts a variety of camps held during school breaks and throughout the year. Pfun Camps are a valuable resource to the community, giving children and their families healthy activities to pursue during the longer break downtime.

The Winter Break Pfun Camp will be held Thursday, Jan. 2- Friday, Jan. 3 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and is designed for ages 6-12. Registration fee is $30 and is available online now on Community Pass.

Participants will enjoy activities including watching an IMAX movie at Bob Bullock Museum, visit the Pflugerville Animal Shelter and have a pizza party.For more information on the Winter Break Pfun Camp click HERE.

A one-day camp will be offered on Monday, Jan. 6 beginning at 7:30 a.m. Winter Wonderland: One-Day Camp features themed activities and a field trip for kids off from school in PfISD. There will be playtime in the fake snow and a visit to Chapparal Ice. Pre-registration required, open to ages 5-12.
