Pflugerville Parks & Rec Opens Up Pforty Mile Trail Challenge

Residents have opportunities to win prizes when they sign up to take part in the Pforty Mile Trail Challenge through January 31.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Looking to burn off the candy consumed this Halloween? Or are you wanting to get a fitness plan in place in anticipation of all the holiday goodies to come? The Pflugerville Parks and Recreation invites residents to take part in the Pforty Mile Trail Challenge from Nov. 1, 2019 - January 31, 2020. Walk, bike or run 40 miles on Pflugerville Trails and you may win a prize.

Participants may bring proof of their trail excursions to the Pflugerville Recreation Center and win a prize and also receive a $5 off coupon for the 2020 Deutschen Pfest 5k. This is a challenge easily customized for individuals where participants have opportunities to be outside enjoying everything Pflugerville offers.

  1. Start using the Pflugerville trails. Participants may walk, bike or run, on one or all trails to complete the challenge, as long as the distance traveled totals 40 miles.. Download the pocket trail map here for trail suggestions.
  2. Participants can use any method to log miles traveled, however the Parks and Recreation Department recommends a MapMyRun.com account to track progress. Participants can “Pfriend” Pflugerville Parks and Recreation for the city to track a participant’s progress.
  3. Show the proof of completing at least 40 miles at the Recreation Center (400 Immanuel Rd).
