Pflugerville Residents Invited To Promote Neighborhood Safety

National Night Out is an annual event held in October to build community and advance safety in neighborhoods around the country.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX—As October draws near, Pflugerville residents are invited to a uniquely fall event held the first Tuesday of the month. National Night Out is a nationwide event and is supported by the National Association of Town Watch and in part by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs and the U.S. Department of Justice.

The City of Pflugerville and its residents alongside community organizations including law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations, and local officials, come together promote safe communities. In 2019, the City of Pflugerville placed 2nd in the state of Texas and 13th nationally, and this year your neighborhood is invited to be part of the nation's largest, annual crime and drug prevention event!

National Night Out promotes important safety concerns including:

  • Heightens crime and drug awareness
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
  • Strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
  • Sends a message to criminals to let them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

Registration is open for 2021 National Night Out, scheduled Tuesday, Oct. 5 and you're invited to register your party using a mobile-friendly online form HERE.
