Pflugerville Seeks To Annex Nearly 160 Acres

The proposal calls for annexing 156.952 acres of extraterritorial land located south of East Pecan Street and west of SH 130.

AUSTIN, TX — The City of Pflugerville will stage a public hearing on a proposed annexation of more than 156 acres in the region's extraterritorial jurisdiction, officials said Tuesday.

The proposal calls for annexation of some 156.952 acres of land situated in the T.S. Barnes Survey No. 46, Abstract No. 67, in Travis County, according to a city advisory. Generally speaking, the acreage is located south of East Pecan Street and west of SH 130 within the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, officials said.

A public hearing on the matter is slated for next Tuesday (Nov. 24) at 7 p.m. Officials did not disclose potential plans for the land.

Given current COVID-19 conditions, public hearings will, either be held at City Hall Council Chambers, 100 E. Main St., Suite 500 or by video/telephone conference. The agenda for each public hearing will be posted 72 hours prior to the public hearing date, officials said.

Residents wishing to participate are urged to visit the City of Pflugerville website City Hall at 100 E. Main St. for information on whether the public hearing will take place virtually or in person.
