Pfreeze Pflop Is Pflugerville's Take On Time Honored Tradition
Participants take part in the New Year tradition of plunging into cold water in Pflugerville's Pfreeze Pflop to benefit area food banks.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — This New Year, Pflugerville invites the community to its very own take on the Polar Bear Plunge with its Pfreeze Pflop at the Scott Mentzer Pool to kick off 2020. The first 75 people to slide receive a free t-shirt, but be warned, the pool is not heated and you must be willing to brave the cold.
The Pfreeze Pflop takes place from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. and admission is free with the donation of a canned food item to benefit local food banks. Participants will be able to help a worthy cause, and gain bragging rights for having taken the Pflop. What to wear: your swimsuit or dry fit clothes; what not to wear: wetsuits, cotton t-shirts, other non-swimwear or anything hanging that might catch on the slide.
This event promises to be memorable and fun, so feel free to invite friends, family and neighbors to take part in the 2020 Pfreeze Pflop, and usher in the new year with a jolt. For more click HERE or contact Suzie Galloway at 512-990-6358 or email suzieg@pflugervilletx.gov.
