PPE Distribution Events Scheduled Throughout September
Austin Public Health will host a series of distribution events for Austin-area residents to receive PPE to help prevent spread of COVID-19.
NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Austin Public Health, CommUnityCare and Central Health will host a series of free personal protective equipment (PPE) distribution over the next several weeks in areas with high COVID-19 positivity rates based on testing data. Participants will receive hand sanitizer, masks and educational materials as a public service to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Held over the course of several dates and locations in and around Austin, the distributions are an opportunity for health officials to remind the community to continue wearing PPE to prevent a surge in cases as cold and flu season approaches. The PPE Equipment Distribution Events are scheduled:
- Thursday, September 10 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. The Pfield, 1440 W. Pecan St., Pflugerville, TX 78660
- Saturday, September 12 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Dailey Middle School, 14000 Westall St, Austin, TX 78725
- Wednesday, September 16 from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Consulate of Mexico in Austin, 5202 E Ben White Blvd. #150, Austin, TX 78741
- Friday, September 18 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Austin Public Library - Ruiz Branch, 1600 Grove Blvd., Austin, TX 78741
- Saturday, September 19 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. George Morales Dove Springs Recreation Center, 5801 Ainez Dr, Austin, TX 78744
- Tuesday, September 22 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Gustavo “Gus” L. Garcia Recreation Center, 1201 E. Rundberg Lane, Austin, TX 78753
