Reimaginging Of The Nutcracker Captures Spirit Of Christmas
Ventana Ballet will host The Watchmaker's Song, inviting audiences to enjoy the performance as part of an immersive drive thru experience.
NORTH AUSTIN, TX—Audiences are invited to enjoy an immersive drive-in experience with a re-imagining of the holiday classic The Nutcraker. Ventana Ballet returns for a third annual collaboration with Red Nightfall Productions for a presentation of The Watchmaker's Song, presented drive-in style for families to enjoy from the safety and comfort of their vehicles.
The memorable experience takes place Friday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. & 8 p.m. Based on an entirely new narrative where audiences follow the Watchmaker and his loved ones, and conceived by the creative team's new Co-Artistic Director, Jerreme Rodriguez as a way to make the most of this non-traditional venue, audiences will delight in the visually exciting event.
Featuring Duke Ellington's jazzy rendition of the original Tchaikovsky music, this year's version offers a poetic blend based on the ballet and the original story of E.T.A Hoffman.
Previously presented at the historic Neill-Cochran House Museum, the show this year adapts to meet the highest standards of health and safety, allowing the audiences to participate in the event from their own vehicles. Though the audience this year will not be sharing the same air, there will be no shortage of holiday party fun, ballet, theater, and cultural dance performances.
