NORTH AUSTIN, TX—North Austin residents will have an opportunity to shop local, support local at the upcomingMicroMarkets ATX event at Central Machine Works located at 4824 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702. Stemming from the idea of creating a more 'local' Austin, MicroMarkets emerged to provide a way for Austinites to not only shop local, but to feel more connection with micro-businesses in their communities.
Scheduled Sunday, Feb. 28 from 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., MicroMarkets ATX seeks to empower micro-businesses by providing them as many resources as needed to build, grow and thrive. Attendees will have the opportunity to join in on a fun afternoon while enjoying a beer and shopping local. Local vendors will be there selling a range of goods from vintage clothes, candles, and jewelry, to calligraphy art and more.
As part of the philanthropic efforts of MicroMarkets ATX, a portion of profits are used as an initiative to empower, support, and promote women and their micro-businesses in developing countries, beginning in Kenya. MicroMarkets ATX has partnered with MicroMarkets Kenya to run their first MicroMarket in Nairobi beginning in mid-March. For more information, including registration link click HERE.
