Small Business Saturday Offers Opportunity To Reinvest In Austin
Each year, Small Business Saturday promotes area businesses in and around Austin as a critical launch to the holiday shopping season.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX—This 2020, the need to support local and patronize the Austin-area small business community has never been so crucial. As countless business were forced to shutter as a result of the pandemic, countless more remain of collapse due to an uncertain financial forecast. Notwithstanding, small businesses that remain open depend on their Austin friends and neighbors to make it to another day.
The City of Austin Economic Development Department encourages the community to shop local as way of reinvesting in the Austin economy, and spend their holiday shopping dollars with local boutiques, artisans, restaurants, and independent stores. The annual experience happens following Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday serves as a critical launch into the holiday shopping season for many small businesses.
Small Business Saturday takes place all day on Saturday, Nov. 28 throughout the six established business districts throughout the City. Patrons can use the Souly Austin online tool to explore all the great local restaurants, retail shops, and makers that make Austin unlike any other city.
