Suspect In North Austin Aggravated Robbery Sought By Police

The incident dates to Sunday evening at a Valero gas station along 5301 Manor Rd. where a suspect is said to have held clerks at gunpoint.

AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery at a North Austin convenience store over the weekend, officials said Tuesday.

The incident dates to Sunday at around 8:15 p.m. at a Valero gas station along 5301 Manor Rd., police wrote in an advisory. Police said the suspect entered the store before holding the clerks at gunpoint while demanding money. He later fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

Law enforcement officials noted the suspect is believed to be the same one tied to a previous robbery at 4311 Springdale Rd. Police noted the suspect may live in the area of the robberies. He was described as a light-skinned, thin Hispanic standing at around six feet tall. He was last seen wearing a white and gray jacket, flat-brimmed baseball cap with a gold logo, a black face covering, gray pants, black gloves and black Jordans with white soles.

Detectives urge those with information about this case to call the robbery tip line at (512) 974-5092, Crime Stoppers at (512) 472-TIPS, submit a tip on the Crime Stoppers website or use the Crime Stoppers app. Those submitting information have the option of remaining anonymous, and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000. Tips also can be submitted anonymously via the police department's mobile app, Austin PD, which can be downloaded for free on iPhone and Android.
