Texas Tornado: Truck Flipped, Dragged In Storm, Drives Away
A pickup truck was struck directly by a tornado near Elgin but was able to drive away safely after it ended up back on its tires.
ELGIN, TX — One Texas driver survived a harrowing experience in a tornado on Tuesday.
A large tornado barreled through Elgin on Monday night, one of several to hit Texas, and caused extensive damage to structures throughout the area.
Video from a Twitter user shows a red pickup truck being struck directly by the storm, flipped over and spun on the road. As the storm moved past, the truck was pulled back on its tires, and the driver continued down the road.

Tornadoes affected many areas as thunderstorms rolled across the state Monday night, including north and northwest of Dallas, central Texas and the Brazos Valley. Several tornadoes touched down in the Austin metro, with storms in Round Rock, Elgin and Jarrell causing structural damage.
