Two North Austin Breweries Take Gold at the Great American Beer Festival

Adelbert’s Brewery Austin and Black Star Co-op Pub and Brewery, both located in North Austin, were awarded gold medals by the Great American Beer Festival.

Adelbert’s Brewery Austin won for its Vintage Monks brew. It’s a Belgian- and French-Style ale.

Black Star Co-op Pub and Brewery was awarded a gold medal for its Recalcitrant Dockhand brew, which is a robust porter.

In total, 242 breweries nationwide took medals this year. Among the winners Texas breweries were well represented. Fourteen Texas breweries took home 15 medals. 9 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.
