Typhoon Texas Seeks To Fill 600 Seasonal Positions For Summer

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Summer may be an interminably long time away, but Typhoon Texas is poised to start hiring for 600 jobs for the upcoming pool season.

Water park officials on Thursday announced the hiring spurt for part-time seasonal positions in a variety of positions — including water safety, food/beverage, retail, cash control, front gate and more.

Applications are available at www.typhoontexas.com. Completed applications submitted via with the water park’s website will be reviewed by the park’s management team with interviews conducted in person and virtually, officials wrote in their advisory.

Rated a top workplace for mid-size companies by the Austin American-Statesman and Best Water park by Austin Family, Typhoon Texas provides seasonal hires with perks including free admission on days off and complimentary Friends & Family passes. Officials added that team members are recognized with Rising Star awards and are eligible to participate in advanced leadership, career and life-skills training. Moreover, officials said, the watermark also awards college and trade school scholarships to deserving employees.

“We’re looking for punctual, courteous and enthusiastic workers,” Ty Wietzel, general manager of the water park, said in a prepared statement.

The 25-acre Typhoon Texas at 18500 TX-130 north service road will open for the summer season Memorial Day weekend. The Texas-themed water park is open daily May through Labor Day annually during which time children and adults can enjoy the park’s high-speed tube slides, free-fall body slides, Texas-sized wave pool and winding lazy river.

An island in the middle of the park features a splash pad with toddler slides for children up to four years old and the Gully Washer, a four-story play structure with an 800-gallon water bucket, seven slides and more than 100 spray areas for children ages 3 to 10. The Pflugerville water park also offers a wide range of fresh food concepts at the park and two full-service bars.
