Unique Event Pairs Area Photographers With Local Skateboarders

Skateboarding Photography Experience lets photographers of all levels learn new techniques and capture skaters in their natural environment.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Local skateboarders will be showcasing their skills at Northeast Metro Park located at 15500 Sun Light Near Way in Pflugerville this weekend and photographers are invited to attend and take part in a unique photography experience.

Scheduled to be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, novice and experienced photographers will get to know more about stop-action photography; flash for skate photography (off-camera & flash duration); portable portrait lighting; and skate park compositions.

Olympus invites all to attend and participate for this Olympus Camera sponsored event. There will be shooting stations set up including Godox flash stations to stop the action, one-light portraits to illustrate skaters in the element, and shooting the bowl with natural light.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own gear including SD card, however, Olympus will offer loaner gear to those interested in trying out new and innovative equipment. Photographers can use the opportunity to add to their portfolio or explore their talents. Charles Garcia of Olympus and an avid skateboarder will be onsite along with staff to help or guide photographers with shoots and equipment.
