Virtual Homes Tour Showcases Austin's Architectural Legacy

Preservation Austin will host its 28th Annual Homes Tour, "Downtown Doorsteps" as a virtual tour on Thursday, August 13.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Preservation Austin, a nonprofit that works to empower Austinites to shape a more inclusive, resilient, and meaningful community culture through preservation, will host its 28th Annual Homes Tour, “Downtown Doorsteps,” a virtual tour for audiences to enjoy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Each year, Preservation Austin invites participants to explore historic living spaces across the City for a glimpse into Austin's architectural legacy.

This year's virtual tour will be held Thursday, August 13 at 7 p.m. ad will include a 45-minute long video featuring a mid-century high-rise with stunning views of the Texas Capitol, to a converted Congress Avenue storefront overlooking the Paramount Theatre. Audiences will also enjoy interviews with homeowners and additional footage of featured homes, as well as a live Q&A session.
