Virtual Run Kicks Off Nat'l Infertility Awareness Week

The Virtual Rainbow 5K Run/Walk donates registration, merchandise proceeds to families struggling with infertility and takes place April 19.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — In an effort to raise awareness around fertility and miscarriage, while providing support to families, the community is invited to a virtual Rainbow 5K Run/Walk. All proceeds raised will be donated to families seeking fertility treatment, adoption, or other finding other paths to parenthood.

The virtual event is scheduled on Sunday, April 19 and will kick off National Infertility Awareness Week. The idea behind a virtual 5K Run/Walk is to raise funds like any other race, participate on the day of the event, and complete your 5K from any location. Amid social distancing, participants may complete their run or walk in their neighborhood, or on a treadmill at home.

The registration fee is $10, and donations will be given to the nominated/sponsored families. Registrants will also be entered into a raffle for a chance to win surprise giveaways and will be awarded LIVE on the Rainbow Run Instagram page, @therainbowrunaz on the evening of April 19. Merchandise will also be available for purchase for the race or in support of the cause. All proceeds from both registration and t-shirt purchases will be given to nominated/sponsored families.
