Workforce Solutions Capital Area Offers Assistance, Resources

Centers remain open by appointment only and invites job seekers and employers to visit their website for important COVID-19 information.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX —Workforce Solutions Capital Area, ensuring the region's workforce system advances toward a prosperous future, continues to support the needs of Austin businesses and workers while ensuring the health and safety of the community. Workforce Solutions continues open to the public by appointment only, with appointments available in two-hour segments and practicing social distancing and regular cleaning of resource areas to mitigate the spread of coronavirus, or COVID-19.

Job seekers may contact any of the three centers or call your nearest center for assistance at 512-485-3792. The programs and support offered help employers and job seekers take a proactive stance in the midst of the pandemic sweeping our communities. There are several resources to help including:

If you are a business facing a layoff or closure, Workforce Solutions Capital Area can offer proactive, business-focused intervention and financial assistance for layoff aversion at no cost*.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is now offering disaster relief loans for small businesses in Texas. Go to the SBA website to apply. The process to apply, verify eligibility and close the loan can take several weeks to complete.
