ICYMI: Strawberry Water Park Has Reopened
A short hiatus because of vandalism shuttered Strawberry Water Park for three week, but now it's back open for summer.

PASADENA, TX -- Vandalism may have closed Strawberry Water Park, but it was only for a little while.
The park reopened on June 29, had only been opened about two weeks when vandals damaged the equipment on one of the pools inside the park.

Officials said at least two people are believed to have broken into an outdoor mechanical room at the park at at about 9 p.m. on June 16, and significantly damaged a sand filter on the main pool.
Initially, officials indicated the repairs would not be completed until about July 4, but the park reopened less than two weeks later.

Strawberry Water Park was built in 2014 as an addition to Strawberry Park, which has been an iconic city staple for decades.
