PASADENA, TX -- An investigative unit whose purpose it is to investigate criminal allegations levied against elected city officials is drawing concern fro some on the Pasadena City Council.

It's a unit that most metropolitan cities have, but some on the council are concerned that Mayor Jeff Wagner's role as the city's chief administrator could cause interference.
Councilman Cody Ray Wheeler said the city's former of government ensures there won't be a separation, even if Wagner doesn't oversee operations for the unit, according to the Houston Chronicle.
