Two Killed In La Porte Plane Crash
Federal, state, and local officials are investigating the crash of an experimental plane in La Porte on Sunday that killed 2 people: Reports

LA PORTE, TX -- The National Transportation Safety Board, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the La Porte Police are investigating the crash of an experimental aircraft that claimed two lives on Sunday.
The crash was reported at about 9 a.m. near the Lomax community, when an experimental aircraft, known as a Kolb Twinstar III crashed about 300 yards short of the runway at La Porte Municipal Airport.
Officials said the plane was making a landing approach from the north side of the airport, when the plane lost power and crashed in a pipeline easement, KTRK reported.

The names of the victims have not been released.

No one on the ground was injured in the crash.
The cause is under investigation.
