Plano, Texas – The Dallas-based development firm, Cawley Partners, has commenced work on an office building in Plano, prominently positioned along the Dallas North Tollway, according to a report by Dallas Metro News.

The project stands as one of the handful to break ground this year in this locale.

The development known as Parkwood II is coming to life on Windhaven Parkway, to the east of the tollway. The location has a historic significance as it was formerly a segment of the Haggard family's Plano farm, which is now set to accommodate this new office construction.

The Haggard family, First United Bank, and Cawley Partners have joined forces to bring this ambitious 120,000-square-foot edifice into fruition. Already boasting an occupancy rate surpassing 40%, the structure counts SFMG Wealth Advisors among its initial occupants.

“This is an extremely attractive campus, and we’re seeing lots of interest from 5,000-10,000-square-foot users,” Cawley vice president Kristi Waddell said in a statement. “The location, efficient floor plan, and amenity package is really attractive to tenants in this area, and we expect the remaining space in the building to lease quickly.”

Adjacent to the site of Parkwood II stands Cawley Partners’ initial Parkwood office, a four-story building completed last year that now serves as the headquarters for First United Mortgage. Both buildings will be connected by a picturesque courtyard, complete with a diverse selection of amenities such as conference rooms, outdoor patios, a fitness center, and even a pickleball court.

Parkwood II is projected to officially open its doors in late 2024, with Gensler serving as the project architect and Hill & Wilkinson taking the lead as the contractor. Cawley Partners maintains a distinguished portfolio of office projects spanning across Plano, Addison, and North Dallas.
