Area Businesses Invited To Workforce Solutions Virtual Town Hall
The teleconference will address the impact of COVID-19 on local businesses and offers answers on immediate services and law questions.
ROUND ROCK, TX — Across the nation, COVID-19 has forced communities to implement drastic measures to mitigate the spread of the disease, and as a result small businesses have been heavily impacted by layoffs and closures. Small businesses play a significant role in the community, by employing local workers and offering vital products and services.
So far, the unprecedented damages caused by COVID-19 have left small business owners with more questions than answers. Uncertainty for anyone is challenging. For business owners who have families relying on them for continued opportunities to generate income, uncertainty can be devastating.
In an effort to help area employers receive answers to vital questions about the future of their businesses, the Texas Workforce Commission will host the Workforce Solutions Virtual Town Hallfor area employers on Thursday, April 2 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Rural Capital Area employers may join the virtual town hall via Zoom and will feature Commissioner Representing Employers, Aaron Demerson, Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area CEO, Paul Fletcher, and TWC Employment Legal Counsel, Tommy Simmons.
