Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:

  1. Round Rock ISD will hold a community roundtable on Mar. 28 to help parents and community members learn more about school policing. They will present the RRISD police department's approach, "the Four Pillars of School Policing," and parents are encouraged to participate in discussions. (FOX 7 Austin)
  2. Starting Monday, Mar. 21, there are severe weather warnings due to rotating or supercell thunderstorms, possible tornadoes, cluster storms, and severe wind. The areas most at risk are in the Dallas-Austin corridor along Interstate 35, including Round Rock. (The Washington Post)
  3. Round Rock ISD has decided not to remove Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez, who has been on paid administrative leave for the past two months. Some parents are happy with the decision and championed Azaiez's policies on masks in 2021. Other parents are frustrated and want the board of trustees to remove the superintendent on the basis of an affair he had with an Austin woman who also brought on abuse allegations against him.
