RRISD Board Trustee Tiffanie Harrison said, "The assistant district attorney assured me that the case was closed and in a separate conversation with a Travis County Sheriff's Office detective, she assured me that the case was closed and no criminal charges would be filed against Dr. Hafed Azaiez." 2. On Mar. 24, the Round Rock city council approved a $389,055 contract to reconstruct Chisholm Trail Road, between the north end of the Chisholm Trail Road bridge at Brushy Creek and Sam Bass Road, due to no underground drainage. The engineering contract went to Friese & Nichols. Construction will include drainage improvements, as well as landscaping and a new urban roadway section. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  3. Tellus, a new system that extends Automatic Aid, brings together disparate Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems to share information. Now, when dispatching a fire truck to an incident, the City of Austin Fire dispatchers can see where all the fire trucks are located (in Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and Austin) and dispatch the closest unit regardless of jurisdiction. Sherry Goertz, IT Corporate Manager, Public Safety IT said, "The impact this project will have on the community members of Georgetown, Cedar Park, Round Rock, and Austin will be tremendous."
